Last year while we were on a family trip, driving through the farmland around Pierre, SD, on our way to Seattle, we came across all these sassy cows lunching on the outside of their fence. I’m thinking a lot about how to bring my show next year at Northern Galleries together so it’s cohesive and powerful. I think I’m going to paint a large version of these sassy cows for that. I just can’t get enough of the light (and how playful they look).
