Skyscape II (#3292)

purple-skiesI saw this cloud formation as we were driving, made a couple sketches, and then painted it when we got home. I’ve been wanting to do some paintings more in this direction, and have made many attempts at capturing this mood; I’m pretty happy with this one. This has a similar ground plain placement as the Skyscape I painting.

18 in x 24 in, oil on canvas board.
