Skyscape

landscape

I tried to capture the clouds as they passed outside my studio window. I am very happy with the luminous quality to this painting. I used new materials – this is on nice thick wood (gessoed). The edges are painted and I’m going to put hangers and bumpers directly on the back for a modern look. I haven’t decided if this will go in my Edmonds, WA show (at c’est la Vie, reception on the 17th), or my Spokane show (at 9 S. Washington Ave. on Oct 2nd-3rd). This has a similar ground plain placement as the Skyscape I painting.

Oil on wood, 12 in x 24 in.
