Here are those same hills from the Highway painting. I wanted to explore those colors more. I still have some issues to work out, but it’s getting close…

“Highway”
Dusk colored landscape. Good news for me: the opthamologist said that I will get my eye-sight back (in about a month), so right now I’m trying to take advantage of being un-burdened by details. This picture is all about the colors. And I hummed “Life is a Highway” the whole time I painted. Good stuff.

Tis has a similar pink to my ocean and seagull painting.
Hi all, I have had some eye troubles… I went to the ER on Thursday night, and then to an opthamologist on Friday; I have Uveitis in one eye. It’s uncomfortable to use my eyes now, and the world is blurry and warped. I’m painting a little, but I can’t really see what I’m doing… It’s pretty fascinating to see the world this way, but also pretty scary as one possible complication is blindness. It sure was nice having perfect vision all those years! Wish me luck getting it back!
I’ll start posting again when I can see what I’ve painted!

Here’s one of my favorite paintings, me and Caden, so there will be something nice to look at while I’m away from the blog.

Plumbs, 6×12″, oil on raw wood. The colors in the photo aren’t quite right; the plumb color is actually quite nice.

I’m starting to enjoy painting pine trees. Here is another pine tree painting.
